day 1

BISHKEK

Arrival in Bishkek! Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at the airport. Tomorrow you’ll take a tour of the city, so don’t stress too much if you don’t have time to see much today. Bishkek is a tree-lined town of parks and gardens, handsome houses and wide streets perfect for strolling. You will have a city tour with visiting main Ala-Too square with changing of the guards, victory square, state historical museum old square with the statue of Lenin, Manas complex and the local colorful bazaar

day 2

BISHKEK – BURANA - CHONG KEMIN VALLEY 180 KM

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Chong Kemin Valley. On the way, stop over at the historical and archaeological complex “Burana”.

Burana Tower – one of the oldest minarets in Central Asia – an architectural structure left to us by the descendants of the ancient city of Balasagun, which was the capital of the Karakhanid Khanate in the 9th-12th centuries. born. On the territory of the complex there is a museum of archaeological finds, an open-air museum of ”Balbals” – stone sculptures of the Turkish era, the remains of the ruler’s palace and the tower itself.

The Kyrgyz family welcomes us for lunch and we participate in the preparation of manti (a traditional Kyrgyz dish – steamed dough with meat filling).

After lunch, we drive to Chon Kemin Valley, accommodation at a local guest house.

Optionally: Evening walk in the typical kyrgyz village.

Dinner and night at the guest house.

day 3

CHONG KEMIN VALLEY – SON KUL LAKE 280 KM

Transfer to Song-Kol Lake

Optionally: en route easy waking to Kok – Moinok canyons. The mountainous landscape is represented here by red-yellow sandstone, which testifies to the many thousands of history of relief corrosion. Therefore, winding passages are up to 2.5 km long. sometimes surprise with their figures and structures.

Continue driving to Son Kul lake, alpine stunner that is considered a sacred place to many Kyrgyz people, as well as one of the best summer pastures for nomadic herders. The landscape will change depending on the season but is sure to be beautiful no matter when you travel. In the summer you might see nomadic herdsmen and their families watching over goats, sheep, and horses. Enjoy exploring your surroundings for the rest of the day, maybe hiking one of the many trails. Tonight, fall asleep in yurts set up along the shore.

day 4

SON KUL LAKE

After breakfast we head west of the lake and walk along the shore of the lake. Small climbs and descents (max 50 m) await you before arriving at the Yurt camp Tulpar Tash. The shore of the lake is magnificent with herds of horses, yaks, cows, sheep and goats. Opportunity to go to the shepherds and taste the fermented mare’s milk, cheese balls, and simply tea with cow’s milk…

After lunch You can take advantage of this day to relax and discover the way of life of the family with whom you are staying. Attend the creation of the Koumis, the gathering of the herd or the milking of cows or mares.

day 5

SON KUL LAKE – AK SAI CANYONS 250 KM

Road to Ak -Sai canyons, another stunning place of Kyrgyzstan. Road passes via the pass of 32 parrots. We arrive at the southern shore of Lake Issyk Kul located at an altitude of 1660m, fed by 88 neighboring rivers, the second largest “alpine” lake in the world after Lake Titicaca in South America. The small mountains in the Ak Sai area are intertwined with countless dry riverbeds that wind through the arid terrain – it’s not for nothing that it’s referred to often as the Canyon of Forgetten Rivers, we drive 12 km from the main road and we will arrive at the lake shore.

day 6

AK – SAI CANYONS - SHATYLY GORGE - AK SAI CANYONS 100 KM

In the morning transfer to Early morning transfer to the pastures of Bokonbaevo to begin the easy hike to the Shatyly panorama which gives a beautiful view of the lake and mountains opposite.

Optionally: Easy walking to panorama Shatyly:

4 km on foot / approx. 1 hour or by vehicle!

Height difference: + 120 m, – 120 m

Transfer back to Ak Sai canyons, you have some time to swim and relax at the wonderful lake shore.

day 7

AK – SAI CANYONS – BISHKEK. BISHKEK – OSH FLIGHT 240 KM

In the morning transfer back to Bishkek. We stop at the village of Kyzyl Tuu, where many families are dedicated to making traditional yurts; we discover ancestral manufacturing techniques. We drive straight to Manas International Airport to take your flight to Osh. Suggested flight: TF 180 17:00 – 17:40. Upon arrival you will be met by a local driver. Transfer to hotel.

Dinner in a local restaurant, night in a hotel.

day 8

OSH – DUSTLIK CHECK POINT

After the breakfast short sightseeing tour in Osh including world heritage place the Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain, also known as Solomon’s Throne. For centuries Silk Road travelers have sought out the mountain’s caves and their petroglyphs in the belief that they would be blessed with longevity or healthy children. Visit the National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex.Transfer to the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border Dostuk (Dustlik), border crossing, your Uzbek guide and driver will be waiting for you after all customs formalities in the Uzbek part! Weather in Kyrgyzstan The climate is continental, with cold winters and hot summers. The best time for trekking is from mid-June to late September, though weather conditions can be unpredictable.

Visa & Passport Requirements Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after your departure date.

Health & Vaccinations Recommended vaccinations: Hepatitis A, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, and typhoid. A rabies vaccine may be advised for long stays.
