Travel along the stunning shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, visit the dramatic landscapes of Tosor and the cultural hub of Karakol.

Cross into Kazakhstan to discover the mystical beauty of Kaindy and Kolsai Lakes, marvel at the dramatic Charyn Canyon, and experience the modern energy of Almaty.

The journey ends back in Bishkek, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Central Asia’s most picturesque regions.

day 1

Bishkek

Upon arrival to Bishkek driver will meet you at the airport and transfer to city. 
Visit colorful Osh bazaar the largest and most vibrant market. It's a sensory feast, with stalls selling everything from fresh produce and spices to clothing, household goods, and traditional Kyrgyz crafts.
After the bustling market, head to Ala-Too Square, the city's central square. It's a place of historical significance, having witnessed various political events over the years. 
 Visit National Historical museum offers insights into Kyrgyzstan's history and culture. Its exhibits cover archaeology, ethnography, and the country's Soviet past.

day 2

Bishkek

After breakfast transfer to Ala Archa National park.

It is one of Kyrgyzstan’s most famous natural reserves, located in the Tien Shan mountains. It offers breathtaking alpine scenery, diverse wildlife, and numerous trekking opportunities. The park is named after the “Ala Archa” (translated as “variegated juniper”), a type of tree commonly found in the region.

Take a beautiful walk along the river. Enjoy the nature.

day 3

Bishkek - Chon Kemin 200 km

After breakfast drive to ancient Balasagun settlement with Burana tower. It is A 9th-11th century minaret from the Karakhanid Empire, one of the oldest structures in Central Asia. The tower (25m high), ancient petroglyphs (balbals), and a small museum showcasing artifacts.

Driving to Kegety Gorge a stunning valley in the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountains, known for its lush forests, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife. There is Kol Tor Lake so we have a chance for the hiking (7 km one way, ~900m from 1,800m to 2,700m above sea level).

The last destination for this day – Chon Kemin.

day 4

Chon Kemin

Full day in Chon Kemin. The valley is known for its stunning scenery, including rolling hills, dense forests, rushing rivers, and snow-capped mountains.

Optionally: horseback riding for extra pay. Or hiking to the gorge.

You can visit local families and experience Kyrgyz hospitality, including trying traditional food and learning about their customs.

day 5

Chon Kemin - Tosor 220 km

After breakfast drive to Southern shore of Issyk Kul lake.

On the way visit Konorchek canyon. Hiking in Konorchek Canyon offers a stunning and adventurous experience. Canyon boasts impressive red rock formations, towering cliffs, and unique geological features. The colors and textures are truly remarkable.

The hiking trails can be quite challenging, with steep ascents and descents, uneven surfaces, and sometimes scrambling required. Be prepared for a physically demanding experience.

day 6

Tosor

Today visit Skazka canyon and Ak Sai canyon. There are two stunning natural attractions located relatively near each other in Kyrgyzstan, offering unique and contrasting landscapes.

Hiking and photography are the main activities in canyons. The dramatic scenery and unique rock formations provide ample opportunities for capturing stunning images.

day 7

Tosor – Karakol 180 km

Traveling from the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, to Karakol with a stop at Jety-Oguz Gorge, is a fantastic way to experience the natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan.

Spend some time exploring the stunning red rock formations, hiking to the waterfall, and enjoying the picturesque scenery. There are also opportunities for interacting with local families.

day 8

Karakol – Saty 250 km

After breakfast visit the most popular palces among tourists. Karakol is indeed known for its unique religious architecture, boasting both the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church and the Dungan Mosque.

The Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, built entirely of wood without any nails, is a beautiful example of Russian architecture.

The Dungan Mosque, built in the early 20th century by Chinese Muslims known as Dungans, showcases a distinct blend of Chinese and Islamic architectural styles. It’s constructed without the use of nails, resembling a Buddhist pagoda.

After excursion drive to Saty village via Kegen border.

day 9

Kaindy and Kolsai lake

After breakfast transfer to Kaindy lake by special car. The unique Feature of the lake is its sunken trees—tall spruce trunks rising from crystal-clear water after a landslide in 1911. Take a beautiful walk around the area.

In the afternoon visit Kolsai lake. This is a system of three lakes nestled in the Tian Shan mountains. They are often referred to as the “Pearls of Tien Shan” due to their beauty. They are situated at different altitudes, with each offering stunning views. Time for enjoy the nature.

day 10

Saty – Charyn canyon – Almaty 300 km

After breakfast drive to Charyn canyon via Black canyon.

Charyn Canyon is one of Kazakhstan’s most famous natural wonders, often called the Grand Canyon of Kazakhstan.” This picturesque indigenous locality impresses with its heavenly landscapes. The Canyon itself represents a monument of nature formed with sedimentary rocks aged more then 12 million years.

Enjoy of views over the entire canyon and  walk around.

After excursion transfer to Almaty.

Almaty

After breakfast transfer to Shymbulak ski base. A well-known ski resort in the Zailiysky Alatau mountains, Shymbulak provides slopes for various skill levels, from beginners to experienced skiers and snowboarders. It’s a prime destination during the winter months for snow sports and offers stunning mountain scenery. By cable car go up to Talgar pass 3200 m. asl. Admire stunning Tian Shan mountains. In the afternoon visit Kok Tobe hill foe panoramic view of city.

day 12

Almaty

Day exploring Kazakhstan’s rich history and heritage at this museum. Its extensive collection covers everything from archaeological findings to ethnographic displays, providing a comprehensive overview of the country’s past. Panfilov park is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. Admire the colourful and unique architecture of Zenkov Cathedral, a wooden structure built without nails. The park also houses the Eternal Flame and memorials dedicated to the Panfilov heroes of World War II.

Visit Green Bazaar (Zelyony Bazaar): Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this bustling market. Sample local delicacies, purchase fresh produce, and experience the lively energy of Almaty’s trading heart. Be prepared for a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells!

Almaty – Bishkek 300 km

After breakfast and check out drive to Bishkek via Kordai border.

Due to its location, Korday plays a significant role in trade between the two countries. You’ll likely see a lot of commercial trucks passing through. This highlights the economic importance of the border region.

Important:

This tour is designed for people with basic physical fitness. Participants should be able to walk moderate distances, handle uneven terrain, and adapt to changing weather conditions.

While no advanced trekking experience is required, a reasonable level of endurance will enhance your enjoyment of the journey.

Crossing the Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan Border Prepare Documents – Ensure you have your passport, visa (if required), and any necessary permits.

Customs & Security Check – Follow border control procedures, declare any restricted items, and be ready for luggage inspection.

Crossing the Border – After completing exit formalities in Kyrgyzstan, proceed to Kazakhstan’s immigration checkpoint.

Entry to Kazakhstan – Submit your documents for review, answer any questions from border officers, and receive your entry stamp.

Processing Time – Border crossing may take from 30 minutes to several hours, depending on traffic and queue length.

Tip – Be patient, respectful, and follow border officials’ instructions.
